Ever see one of those napkin roses
and wondered how to make one. I know they're kind of cheesy but girls
keep asking for them (and some men too.). If twisting a napkin gets
me a little extra cash in my tip jar by the end of the night, I'm
willing to indulge their requests. It's pretty simple to do but not
so simple to explain in writing but I'll try for you. If you have
any questions just send me an email anytime. The address is at the
bottom of the page.
| 1.) Unfold the napkin
and place your index finger on the crease as seen in the photo. |
| 2.) Fold it half so that the
top fold is at a bit of an angle as in this image. |
| 3.) Twist it under your thumb
and index finger. Place your last two fingers under the napkin
and leave your middle finger on top. |
| 4.) Fold the top corner of the
napkin over your middle finger. Fold the next layer over your
second to last finger. |
| 5.) Twist the area of the napkin
at the tips of your fingers. |
| 6.) Continue to twist the napkin.
As you do angle the napkin so that a corner of the napkin will
end up near the middle or top. |
| 7.) As you twist the corner
of the napkin will get closer to the stem. Once you get it as
close as you like you can leave a little "leaf" on the
stem and twist the rest of the napkin until you end up with this. |

This is what the top or "bud"
of the rose will look like.
Good Luck! |
